Silver – Gold/Silver Plating
Use a soft lint free cloth to keep your jewellery looking shiny and tarnish-free.
Store your MKL purchases in a dark, cool and dry place within the box provided. This will reduce tarnishing, scratching and tangling.
When transporting your jewellery, ensure it is kept within a box so no external pressures is accidentally applied that could bend the metal.
Remove jewellery while in water and avoid spraying perfume or applying creams where your jewellery will have contact.
Avoid extreme temperatures, humidity and sunlight. Any contact with perfumes, cosmetics and chemicals will cause discolouration.
Gemstones
Gemstones should not be worn while exposing them to perfumes and harsh chemicals. It is also not recommended to clean them with cleaners. After wearing, most gemstones can be cleaned using a soft and damp cloth. However, for very porous stones like Turquoise and Emeralds, it is better to use an untreated, dry and soft cloth for cleaning.
MKL jewellery is handmade by family-run workshops and artisans in Hong Kong, with years of experience working in famous Jade market in Hong Kong. Each piece is unique.
We only make our jewellery in small batches and encourage our customers to only purchase what sparks joy, as to avoid unnecessary returns. Keeping sustainability in mind nothing is mass-produced.
Our jewellery and products are designed in-house in the heart Kensington & Chelsea, London, UK in MKL studio.
We use natural gemstones and shell pearls within our gold-plated silver collection which may contain internal inclusions, irregular edges, uneven surfaces and variations in the colours. No two gems are the same, adding to the beauty and uniqueness of each individual gem.
We use sustainable lab-grown gems in our brass, gold and silver-plated collections.
